Our Philosphy

We only breed on occasion and when we do, it is with an eye to making a step forward within the breed; to produce better than the parents. We are breeding to produce the very best we can, so that superior breed type, structure and conformation will be what goes forward in the gene pool of this breed. Top specimens in a litter are placed preferentially in responsible show/breeding homes.We sometimes have companion puppies available. If you would like to discuss the possibility of a Yutori Finnish Lapphund for the show ring, or as a companion in your home, we have a waiting list. Our philosophy is to breed the best to the best. To that end, we will be breeding only dogs who have been PRA tested, (via Optigen if both parents are not already clear through Optigen genetic testing). Additionally our dogs will have OFA'd hips, elbows and normal knees. Correct Lapphund temperament with sound conformation, structure and proper breed type (as proven in the show ring) are very important factors we look for before we will consider breeding...

Grand Ch. Sugarok Out N' About Yutori HIC,'Sony' was been bred to our handsome homebred hunk, Grand Ch. Yutori's Howlin' at Autumn Moon CGC, HIC 'Finn'. Pregnancy is confirmed and pups are due April 9th. They are expected to produce puppies with lovely type, outstanding bone and coat, plus vivid tan points.

Health Clearances

Sony and Finn have OFA'd hips (Sony is Fair and Finn is Good), knees and elbows (normal). Both are PRA free and CERF'd December 2009. Finn is thyroid tested 'normal' by Dr. W. Jean Dodds (DVM).

Quinn and Verti

UKC Gr. Ch. Yutori's Autumn Equinox has been bred to Fidelis Verissimus

Pregnancy has been confirmed and puppies are due April 30.

All puppies are spoken for.

 

Verti produced some exceptional puppies in Finland before he was imported to the USA. This is Quinn's first litter and Verti's first litter in the USA.

Quinn is the UKC #1 Finnish Lapphund 2009. See more photos of Quinn at her page.

 

 

Quinn has OFA'd hips (Good), OFA normal knees and elbows, and is CERF'd and PRA clear by parentage. She is thyroid tested 'normal'. Verti is European tested free of hip dysplasia (B rated), normal knees and elbows, and PRA clear. Quinn is also MDR1 gene tested normal/normal.

To the Prospective Buyer:

Our companions are sold only on a spay/neuter contract. Our show quality pups are sold on a showing contract and as such are required to be shown. We require an interview with prospective owners, and a questionnaire is to be filled out. A deposit of $200 holds a puppy once you have been approved. If we accept a deposit and reserve a puppy for you, but you change your mind, the deposit is forfeit. If we do not have a puppy for you, the deposit will be returned.
